TODD LATHAM

Todd loves being able to serve the Lord! He has been married to Angel for over 27 years and they have four children. They are happy to call Staunton home after having lived in South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, California, North Carolina and Florida over the course of his 20 years of ministry and time spent moving while in the Marines. Todd’s hobbies include anything to do with computers and technology, soccer, and as an avid reader known to devour a book in a weekend! Todd’s education includes Clear Creek Baptist Bible College, Southwestern Seminary, and is currently enrolled in Southern Seminary sloooowly working towards his Doctorate.


Kathy Lafon

Kathy W. Lafon serves as Director of Music and Worship at Memorial Baptist, coordinating music for both Sunday morning services. At the 9am service, you will find Kathy playing the piano and leading in songs of praise and worship as well as hymns of faith in this “musically blended” service. At the the 11am service, you will find her directing the Sanctuary Choir and leading the congregation in the music of this traditional service. In addition to directing the Sanctuary Choir, Kathy also directs the Jazzy Juniors (grades 1-6), Youth Handbell Choir, Sounds of Joy (Adult Handbell Choir), as well as planning and executing special music throughout the year for additional special services and programs. She is a native of Staunton and received a Bachelor of Music from James Madison University. Kathy began serving at Memorial in October, 1997.


Mark Bowman

Mark grew up at Memorial where he met his wife Danielle during his time in the youth group. They live in Stuarts Draft with their three children Ian, Jenna, and Celeste. Mark's interests stretch from a passion for all things sports, through a broad joy working with technology, history, aviation, and a profound love of music and the arts. 


MaryAnn Angleberger

Mary Ann grew up in Hagerstown, Md. She graduated from South Hagerstown High
School, Bridgewater College B.A. and Univ. of Virginia M.A. She taught middle school
science & math for 5 years at John Wayland Intermediate School in Bridgewater and later
moved to Fort Defiance High School where she taught Biology for 22 years. During her
summers, she was the secretary for Mountain Lake Biological Station/UVA for over 25
years. After retiring from teaching, she worked in the Virginia office for Brethren
Foundation, Inc. She has been secretary at Memorial since December 2002. She is
married to Wayne Angleberger and has one son, Tom Angleberger. He and his wife,
Cece, have two boys, Charlie and Oscar.

Organist and Music Assistant

Donna Harner

Donna is the church organist and accompanist and has served since 1990. We celebrate with her for over 30 years of faithful dedication and service to the Lord and Memorial Baptist. She graduated from Fort Defiance High School and then Bridgewater College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Science. While at Bridgewater she took organ lessons and immediately knew it was the hobby she would always enjoy while serving the Lord. She taught school for 31 years in Augusta County, 9 years at Wilson and 22 at Fort Defiance. Since retiring from teaching she continues to enjoy playing at MBC. She is married to Jim Harner, a faithful deacon, and they have one daughter Tricia. Tricia and husband Bart have given Donna a grandson named Reid.
